In this paper the physical and predictive mathematical models of heat and mass transfer, phase transformations and chemical reaction at ignition of new perspective gel-like fuels by local heating sources - heated to high (above 800 K) temperatures metal and nonmetal particles have been developed. According to the results of large-scale numerical investigations, conditions for energy-efficient and safe ignition of gel-like fuels have been determined. The main characteristics of investigated processes - ignition delay time and the influence of temperature, size and material properties of heat sources, have been defined. Specific modes of gel-like fuels ignition, depending on the basic heat sources parameters, have been identified. The comparison of these modes with known modes for solid and liquid fuels at local heating has been performed. Recommendations for energy and special productions, involving extensive use of gel-like fuels have been formulated.. Title screen
