There were 4 types of test specimens: laminate CFRP, honeycomb CFRP, laminate CFRP with the channel stiffener, and laminate CFRP bolted with the aluminum plate. All the specimens were subjected to impact loading using the drop weight technique according to the ASTM D7136 standard in order to produce barely visible impact damages (BVID). The obtained shearograms easily reveal BVIDs as nonuniformities in strain fields.
