The Proceedings of the 9-th Russian-Chinese Symposium on Laser Physics and Laser Technologies and of the Conference on Lasers and Laser Technologies for Students and Young Investigators for held in Tomsk on 26-31 October, 2008, include lectures and invited and contributed papers devoted to the key problems of laser physics: gas, metal-vapor and dye lasers, laser light conversion, laser systems and applications, as well as to the integration of research with education in the field of the state-of-the art laser technologies.
