Here we focus the attention onto the description of a new method to measure the wear resistance of cemented carbide cutting tools. Wear process is highly influenced by the temperature of cutting and the good correlation between diffusivity and resistance of tools in a wide range of cutting speed was found. It allows to forecast in a non-destructive way the wear resistance of each cutting insert in seria.
