Energy Losses Decrease in Oil Transportation Based on Plant Wide Technology / D. P. Starikov, E. A. Rybakov, E. I. Gromakov

That is why it is needed to minimize crude oil cost with help of advanced algorithms. One of the main reasons of oil cost is spending on transportation. Oil pipe has a difficult structure with a large number of automation equipment. It is clear that usage of automation equipment suggests power consuming. Energy losses minimization with Plant-wide technology usage is described in the article. Main consumer in oil transport (as a pump) is founded and described to decrease losses during regulation. Application of Plant wide engineering with a classical PID algorithm is proposed instead of MPC algorithm of pressure control. Model of that structure was collected and was researched. Obtained results during research show possibility of power losses in oil transport system and appearance of synergetic effect.
