Contents of the course comply with modern trends and requirements to teaching foreign languages for professional purposes in the field of mechanical engineering. The course aims at developing skills in professional communication. For this purpose, training is carried out with the use of materials typical for professional communication. Sections of the course include the following topics: product life cycle, manufacturability analysis, engineering design, foolproof design, ethics in engineering, manufacturing process design, types of fixtures, cutting parameters, types of work-pieces, heat treatment operations, quality control.
