With this in mind, a variant of coolant flow reduction in the tubing of the desublimation apparatus is proposed. Mathematical calculations showed that the coolant consumption can be reduced by a factor of 2. Field experiments performed at an operating production facility have confirmed the obtained results. A combined control system has been developed to maintain the coolant flow at the minimum level and to secure the conditions of desublimation for uranium hexafluoride.
