330 _aA microwave pulse resonance compressor whose operation is based on resonance electromagnetic field amplification and subsequent rapid energy extraction to a load is described. A block diagram of the exper-imental setup is given. Results of tests of an S-band microwave compressor operating at a pulse repetition rate of up to 20 kHz are presented. The half-power width of the output pulses was about 5 ns, and the pulse power was 50 kW.
