330 _aThis paper considers the experiments on nonresonant optical pumping of sodium D-lines. Na-Xe medium is pumped by a dye laser with a wavelength of 560 nm and output energy of 5 mJ and CuBr laser with wavelengths of 510.6 and 578.2 nm and the total output energy of 0.5 mJ (0.2 mJ at 578.2 nm). Receiving radiation when pumped with a copper bromide laser indicates the presence of an effective pumping mechanism via two-photon absorption.
